If you learn or suspect that your child has experienced child sexual abuse, you are not alone.

There are many resources available and people who want to help.


 What to do if your child discloses sexual abuse?

If abuse was from a parent/caregiver:
Call Charleston County DSS  (888) 227-3487 

If abuse was not perpetrated by a caregiver:
Call the police in the county where the abuse occurred 
(or 911 if immediate help is needed)

Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center (DNCAC)
DNCAC provides forensic evaluations for sexual abuse survivors. This is the first step to becoming
connected to therapy and other services. Call (843) 723-3600 to schedule your child's forensic evaluation.
